Life inside Deep Sea. Exploring Seas and Oceans - Rapid Info.

12 people have stepped on the moon till now which is 3,84,000 Kilo Meters away from us but only 3 people reached the deepest part of the sea which is 11 Kilo Meters away from us. We know More about Mars which is 5,46,00,000 kilometres far from us than our seas. Now, you can understand that exploring the seas and oceans are very difficult and dangerous. 71% of our earth surface is water but even we explored only 5% of the oceans only we don't know what is present in the deep sea. What is the situation present in the deep sea? How dangerous they are? Gold present in the deep sea?Different animals living in deep-sea? If you read this post completely you will come to know a lot of new information about oceans, so read it completely.

If we see our earth for far oceans will be more than land surfaces. According to scientists, there are 326 million trillion gallons of water in all seas and oceans which is equal to 1,260,000,000,000,000,000,000 litres. 95% of the animals living on earth are in seas and every year more than 2000 new creatures are discovered by our scientists in seas. now let's start our journey to the deep sea.

Inside Deep Sea?

Sunlight can reach up to 100 meters in the sea and after that, its light slowly decreases and after it will become moth darkness. This area is called as  "Deep Sea". Half of the creatures that live in the sea will live in the depth of 1 kilometre. After that, the creature that is living below 1 kilometre looks very different and dangerous some of them will glow and if we see some of them will look like graphics and make our eyes surprise. If we go to 2400 feet here submarines will move and at the bottom of the sea continuously toxic poisonous gases will be released from chimney-like things. The temperature of these releasing fluids will be 400-degree centigrade and scientist are thinking that here may be the first creature on the earth, born.

Mariana Trench:

Usually, the depth of the sea would be nearly 4 kilometres but the deepest area in the world was 'Mariana Trench" and its depth was 11 kilometres. Just imagine how long is 11 kilometres. Only 3 people reached this area till now and one of them was James Cameron who is the director of the popular films Avatar and Titanic. He reached 35,756 feet deep in 2012 in a special submarine and in 1960 Jacques Piccard and Don Walsh have gone 35,813 feet deep and came back as pressure increases and it took them 5 hours to reach this place. This is the deepest place on earth which humans visited. As we go deep into the seawater pressure on us increases and In the Mariana trench, you will feel the pressure of 8 tons per sq inch and that is almost equal to 50 Jumbo jet planes on a human body. Maybe some places are much deeper than Mariana Trench. Now, let us see how the depth of seas is measured?

How depth of Seas were Measured?

We will use echo sounders to measure the depth of the seas. It means both transmitter and receiver will be present for a ship and when it is on water transmitter will release sound waved and these sound waves will travel through the water and will strike the ground and come back now these retired sound waves will be received by the receiver and we knew that sound travels nearly 1500 m/s in water so we can calculate the depth by how much time the waves returned.

We also have many rivers, forests, waterfalls in the deep sea.

Rivers inside Deep Sea?

You may wonder that how rivers will flow in the sea because both are of water. Scientists have found that salt and hydrogen sulphide was mixing at few places and as they are denser they are flowing like rivers.

Denmark Strait:

You may say that victoria and Niagra waterfalls are the biggest waterfalls but "Denmark strait" is the biggest waterfall in the world which is present in the middle of the sea. It is in between Green land and Ice Land. This actually happens because of the temperature difference in the water. The water which is a side of a hill like a place is very cool so that water will have more density and as this water is cooler than other water this creates a waterfall in them. The waterfalls down around a distance of nearly 3.5 kilometres. Just imagine how big the waterfall is.

Forests in Seas:

Forests also grow in seas and these types of forest are called "Kelp Forests" These trees will grow 2 feet a day and some times they will also come to the top of the sea but they die because of heavy waves in the sea.

Gold in Seas?

There is a lot of gold inside the seas nearly there is 2 crore tons of gold. Extracting gold from that seawater is not that easy because one litre of seawater contains about 13th billion of a gram of gold. So you can imaging how less is it. If we extract complete gold in seawater we can give 4 Kgs to every person on this earth.

Seas are also the largest museums in the world because many historical things are submerged in seas and nearly more than 30,00,000 ships have been sunk inside of seas. Titanic ship also presents in the Atlantic ocean at 12,500 feet below and in a few years, the titanic ship will completely disappear because a type of bacteria is eating that ship. If we can get all the wealth from all ships that have sink that will be nearly equal to 60 billion dollars.

Did you know? that 70% of oxygen in our atmosphere releases from plants present in seas.

Icebergs:

One important thing is we cant drink seawater but according to NSIDC ( National Snow and Ice Data Center ) the water in icebergs are freshwater and even we can drink them. If we melt a big iceberg we can supply freshwater for 10,00,000 people for 5 years. Now, we can imagine how big a single iceberg was! The United Arab Emirates have a scarce of freshwater so a company is trying to bring a big iceberg and provide fresh water for them.

Internet:

The internet which we are using now their cables are arranged for 1000s of kilometres underseas. some times sharks will try to bite these cables but this is cheap when compared to provide internet using satellites.

Pollution in Seas?

Maybe seas are not giving us freshwater but they are giving us oxygen and helping rains to fall but we are damaging seas by throwing plastic waters in seas. Nearly 8,00,00,00,000 kgs of plastic waste of adding into seas every year. Many of the sea animals are dying because of this plastic waste. We are adding industrial wastes in seawater and ice melts because of global warming. Now, let us stop using plastic it is not good for plants and one tsunami is enough to give return our plastic. So, please think about it and don't throw plastic in the seas instead recycle them.
